Webster, MA – August 8, 2025 – The Webster Water Ski Collective is proud to announce its 6th Annual Adaptive Water Ski Event, taking place on Friday, August 8th on the shores of Webster Lake—the very place where our journey began six years ago.
What started as a small club with no adaptive equipment and little knowledge of adaptive water skiing has evolved into one of the largest adaptive water ski programs in the United States. Today, the Collective proudly serves over 120 adaptive participants per season, ranging in age from 7 to 85, and offering weekly adaptive skiing in Charlton along with multiple large-scale events across Massachusetts.
Throughout this journey, we’ve formed strong and meaningful partnerships with many incredible organizations who share our mission to make water sports accessible and inclusive. These include the Aqua Riders of Holland, Leaps of Faith Adaptive Skiers, Team Hoyt New England, the Jack Trottier Foundation, and many more who are committed to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and strengthening our communities.
In addition to our adaptive programming, the Webster Water Ski Collective has developed a competitive three-event team that continues to shine on the regional and national stage. This year, our skiers achieved outstanding results at the AWSA Eastern Regional Championships, with numerous personal bests and multiple athletes qualifying for the 83rd Goode Water Ski National Championships in California.
We also offer learn-to-ski and recreational water skiing at our two locations in Webster (Point Breeze) and Charlton, providing access to the sport five days a week during the season.
As we prepare for this exciting adaptive event, we are reaching out to the community for volunteers. You do not need to be a skier to help—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to lend a hand. We need assistance on shore with life jackets (PFDs), helping participants in and out of the water, lunch distribution, and general support to keep the event running smoothly and safely. It truly takes a team effort to make these events successful and impactful.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters. Your commitment has helped us build an inclusive, thriving program that brings the joy of water skiing to people of all abilities. With your continued support, we look forward to growing even further and continuing to make a difference.
