Webster Water Ski Collective and Electric City Water Ski Show Team Partner for First-Ever Adaptive Water Ski Clinic in New York State
Scotia, NY – January 20, 2026 — Two passionate water ski organizations are joining forces for the first time to bring a life-changing event to the Mohawk River. The Webster Water Ski Collective (WWSC) is proud to announce its first-ever partnership with the Electric City Water Ski Show Team to host a FREE Adaptive Water Ski Clinic in Scotia, New York on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
This event marks a major milestone for the Webster Water Ski Collective — it’s their first time bringing their Adaptive Ski Program to New York State, expanding their reach and impact beyond Massachusetts.
Held on the scenic Mohawk River, this full-day clinic is designed to introduce individuals of all ages and all abilities to the thrill of water skiing in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. Participants will receive one-on-one support from trained volunteers using specialized adaptive equipment, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of skiing — no matter their physical abilities or prior experience.
“This partnership with the Electric City team is incredibly exciting for us,” said Ryan DesRoches, Director of the Adaptive Program at WWSC. “It’s all about the mission we share: promoting the sport we love and opening the door for everyone to be part of it.”
For the Electric City Water Ski Show Team, the event is also a natural fit. Known for their high-energy performances and strong community spirit, the team is excited to use their home site for something more than just entertainment. “We’re thrilled to welcome the Webster Water Ski Collective to Scotia,” said Jill Caswell, of the Electric City Water Ski Show Team. “This event is about inclusion, passion, and bringing more people into the world of water skiing. There’s nothing more rewarding.”
This completely free event is made possible by generous sponsors and community support. Participants are asked only to submit a refundable deposit to reserve their spot.
