From Local Roots to Regional Reach: New England Water Ski Collective Debuts New Brand

Announces 2026 Season Motto: “All Abilities, One Passion”

Webster, MA  – February 15, 2026 -– The Webster Water Ski Collective is proud to announce that it is officially rebranding and will now be doing business as the New England Water Ski Collective. The new name reflects the organization’s remarkable growth and its expanding presence throughout Massachusetts and across the New England region.

Along with the new name, the Collective is introducing its 2026 season motto:

This motto captures the heart of the organization’s mission — bringing people together through a shared love of water skiing, regardless of age, discipline, or ability.

Our first Adaptive Ski Day with our friends from Leaps Of Faith

What began in 2019 as three friends skiing from a dock in Webster — simply having fun on the water — has grown into a robust, vibrant, multi-division organization serving athletes and families across the region. While Webster will always remain home, the Collective now skis across multiple towns and water sites, building a truly regional identity.

The New England Water Ski Collective is deeply grateful to the communities and organizations that have supported its growth along the way. From local partners and lake associations to volunteers and families who have opened their docks, boats, and hearts, this journey would not have been possible without their encouragement. We are especially thankful for the incredible friends and relationships we have built over the years — friendships that extend far beyond the shoreline.

As the organization continues to grow, it remains committed to building and fostering relationships with other water ski teams throughout the region, as well as leaders in adaptive sports such as Team Hoyt New England, the Jack Trottier Foundation, and Move United, among others. These partnerships strengthen the Collective’s mission and expand opportunities for athletes of all abilities.

The New England Water Ski Collective has expanded into three major divisions, each supporting and strengthening the others. Through strong collaboration, shared training, and a unified vision, these divisions create opportunities for every skier to grow.

Through our friendships and partnerships with other water ski teams across the region — including show ski organizations such as the Aqua Riders of Holland and the Electric City Show Ski Team, along with many other clubs — we have the unique ability to help skiers discover their passion and develop their skills regardless of division. Whether a skier’s path leads toward competition, show skiing, adaptive programming, or simply recreational enjoyment, our extended network allows us to support and guide that journey.

The Recreational Division is the foundation of the organization and focuses on fostering a lifelong love of skiing for all ages. Specializing in Learn-to-Ski activities, this division is dedicated to creating a welcoming community of friends and families who love the water. Members range from as young as five years old to skiers in their 80s, demonstrating that water skiing truly is a sport for all generations.

The Adaptive Division remains the Collective’s most unique and inspiring program. Dedicated to inclusion, this division provides opportunities for individuals who are differently-abled to experience the thrill of water skiing — many of whom may never have imagined participating in any water sport due to physical or cognitive challenges.

The Adaptive Division runs large-scale events across Massachusetts and is expanding beyond state lines, with its first-ever event scheduled in New York this August. In addition to major events, an advanced group of adaptive skiers now trains weekly at the Collective’s Charlton site to continue developing their strength and technical skills on the water.

Participants in this division include individuals with autism, Down syndrome, connective tissue disorders, visual impairments, and spinal cord injuries — all proving that with the right support and community, the water is for everyone.

As part of its continued growth, the New England Water Ski Collective will now be skiing regularly in Oxford, Massachusetts, in addition to its established sites in Charlton and Webster.

The organization is also planning to host AWSA-sanctioned slalom tournaments this summer as part of the North East Slalom Series, further solidifying its commitment to competitive water skiing in the region. More details about these tournaments and additional 2026 programming will be announced soon.

The rebrand to New England Water Ski Collective reflects what the organization has become — a regional, inclusive, and collaborative ski family. While its roots remain firmly planted in Webster, its reach now spans communities across New England.

With three thriving divisions, expanding partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to inclusion and excellence, the Collective looks ahead to 2026 with excitement and gratitude.
