Our Charlton Location – Glen Echo Lake, Home of Our Adaptive Ski Program

The Webster Water Ski Collective is proud to expand its footprint to Charlton, Massachusetts, through an exciting partnership with the historic Glen Echo Skiers. With roots dating back to the 1960s, Glen Echo Lake has long been a hub for local water skiing, having hosted memorable events such as the Glen Echo Classic and the Team Challenge—a spirited tournament that brought together clubs from across the region.

Glen Echo Lake itself is a scenic, private body of water known for its calm, glassy conditions—perfect for slalom skiing and skill development. While smaller than Webster Lake (approximately 1/12th the size), its seclusion and smooth water make it an ideal training ground. The lake features a full slalom course, and Collective members are invited to take advantage of these tournament-quality conditions.

Most importantly, Glen Echo Lake serves as the home of our Sunday Adaptive Ski Program, where we welcome individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities to learn, grow, and thrive through water skiing. Each week, our dedicated volunteers work one-on-one with participants, helping them build confidence and skills in a supportive, joyful environment.

Thanks to a collaborative agreement with the Glen Echo Lake Association (GELA), members of both our Webster (Point Breeze) and Charlton (Glen Echo) locations can share resources and access each other’s facilities. While cross-lake participation may be limited during regular ski sessions, this partnership strengthens our ability to host larger events—such as tournaments and potential ski shows—in the seasons ahead.

Please note: To protect the lake’s ecosystem, non-resident boats are not permitted on Glen Echo without prior approval from GELA, in line with efforts to prevent the spread of invasive species.

We’re thrilled to carry on the legacy of skiing at Glen Echo while growing our inclusive and supportive community on two great lakes!
